I love lemons over chocolate, salty over sweet. Coffee over everything.

I am a mom, a mom of a young man mom, a dog mom, I tend to mom people that just seem to need one and even those that don’t.  Did you bring a sweatshirt?

I love seeing myself in my son’s face, but not in a mirror

I’m not sure if I’m a Northern Californian or Southern. Have a toehold in both places. All I can say is home is where my dogs are.

I’m not sure how to answer the question “What do you do?”

My happy place is anywhere with my dogs

I secretly want to publish a book one day, maybe not such a secret now. And as ridiculous as it sounds, I’m not sure what it’s going to be about.

I am a vegetarian and can’t understand how people can draw a line between what animals they will and won’t eat.  Dog no, pig yes, rabbit yes, weasel no.  Who makes up these rules?

One of my most treasured possessions is an African weaving I found in a market in JoBerg. I brought it back had it professionally framed only to realize that the exact same piece, framed the same way is hanging in my local Peet’s Coffee house. Yes, I subconsciously decorated my house to look like my favorite cafe. I did say coffee over everything.
